Note: There's no negative marking on NUET, so attempt every question — leaving answers blank only costs you marks. Computer-based sessions run at NUTECH's Islamabad campus; other centers such as Karachi, Quetta, and Gilgit use a paper-based version of the same test. Results are announced within 72 hours.
Prep tip: Since subject weightage isn't equal, prioritize Mathematics and Physics in your preparation — together they make up 70% of the test.
How the NUTECH Aggregate Is Calculated (2026)
This NUTECH aggregate calculator uses the university's official merit criteria: 10% SSC, 20% HSSC (or A-Level/DAE), and 70% NUTECH Entry Test (NUET). NUET carries by far the heaviest weight of any component, so your entry test performance is what decides most of your merit position.
The Formula
Aggregate = (SSC % × 0.10) + (HSSC % × 0.20) + (NUET % × 0.70)
Worked Example
SSC 92%, HSSC 85%, NUET 70% → (92 × 0.10) + (85 × 0.20) + (70 × 0.70) = 9.2 + 17 + 49 = 75.2% aggregate
Eligibility Minimums
To be eligible at all, Engineering programs (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering) require at least 60% in both SSC and HSSC. Computer Science-group programs (BS CS, SE, AI, Cyber Security, IT) require 60% SSC and 50% HSSC. BET Civil requires 50% in both.
International Students
International applicants can submit a SAT Subject Score in place of the NUET, weighted the same way at 70%.
How the NUTECH Merit List Works
Once your aggregate is calculated using the 10/20/70 formula, NUTECH ranks applicants to build its official Merit List.
When the Merit List Appears
Because NUET runs across multiple series through the admission cycle, NUTECH displays its 1st Merit List (and subsequent lists) only after the final series for that cycle closes, not after each individual NUET series.
Multiple Lists
As with most Pakistani universities, NUTECH releases more than one merit list — as admitted candidates confirm or vacate seats, further lists follow to offer those seats to the next-ranked applicants.
Checking Your NUTECH Result
Your NUET result and merit status are available by logging into the NUTECH admission portal with the credentials you used for online registration.
Note: NUTECH does not publish a fixed closing-aggregate table in advance. Closing merit shifts each cycle depending on applicant volume and program seat availability. Use your calculated aggregate as a general guide, and confirm your actual status through the official admission portal.
