Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about calculating your university aggregate for 2026 admissions in Pakistan.
How is aggregate calculated for university admission in Pakistan?+
Aggregate is a weighted percentage combining your Matric, FSc (or A-Level), and entry test marks. Each university and test sets its own weightings — for example, MDCAT uses Matric 10% + FSc 40% + MDCAT 50%, while ECAT and NUST use different splits. Universities use this final aggregate to rank all applicants and generate merit lists.
What is the MDCAT aggregate formula for 2026?+
For 2026 admissions, UHS and PM&DC calculate the MDCAT aggregate as Matric 10% + FSc 40% + MDCAT 50%, with the MDCAT scored out of 180 marks. You can calculate your exact aggregate using our free MDCAT calculator.
What is the ECAT / UET aggregate formula?+
UET calculates the ECAT aggregate as Matric 17% + FSc 50% + ECAT 33%, with the ECAT scored out of 400 total marks. Use our ECAT calculator to enter your marks and see your aggregate instantly.
What is the NUST NET aggregate formula?+
NUST calculates the aggregate as Matric 10% + FSc 15% + NET 75%, with the NET scored out of 200 marks. If your FSc Part 2 result hasn't been declared yet, NUST uses your Part 1 marks only — once both parts are available, your combined FSc marks are used instead.
Which universities and tests do you cover?+
We currently cover MDCAT, NUMS, KMU CAT, ECAT / UET, UET Peshawar, NUST NET, FAST-NUCES, COMSATS, NUTECH, GIKI, NED, Air University and the University of the Punjab, plus an O/A Level IBCC equivalence calculator. More universities are marked “coming soon” and will be added once their official formulas are verified.
Do A-Level or O-Level students use a different formula?+
The aggregate formula itself stays the same, but your A-Level and O-Level grades first need to be converted into an equivalent percentage through IBCC (Inter Board Committee of Chairmen) before you can enter them into any of our calculators.
Are these calculators free, and are the results official?+
All our calculators are completely free with no sign-up required, and they use the formulas published for 2026 admissions. However, this is an independent, unofficial tool — always cross-check your final aggregate against your university's official portal before making any admission decisions.
