Note: ETEA only conducts the test and publishes your score. UET Peshawar prepares the merit list. This pattern is as reported for the 2026 computer-based test, so confirm the latest details, total marks and dates on ETEA's official website. Enter the total marks printed on your ETEA result card in the calculator.
Computer Science & Data Science: These programs need no entry test. Merit is based on Matric and FSc only, so you can skip the ETEA field in the calculator.
How the UET Peshawar Aggregate Is Calculated (2026)
UET Peshawar uses two merit formulas: one for BSc Engineering, which includes the ETEA test, and one for Computer Science and Data Science, which has no entry test. Each result becomes a percentage, is multiplied by its weight and added up. The official formula gives a score out of 1000, and dividing by 10 gives the percentage this calculator shows.
BSc Engineering Formula
Aggregate = (Matric % × 0.10) + (FSc % × 0.40) + (ETEA % × 0.50)
CS & Data Science Formula
Aggregate = (Matric % × 0.40) + (FSc % × 0.60)
Official Weights: SSC × 1, Inter × 4, Test × 5
UET Peshawar's admission rules write the engineering merit as SSC percent × 1, Inter percent × 4 and test percent × 5. That is the same as 10% Matric, 40% FSc and 50% test, which is the ETEA aggregate formula used here. For CS and Data Science the rules use SSC × 4 and Inter × 6.
Worked Example
Matric 950/1100 (86.36%), FSc 900/1100 (81.82%), ETEA 72/100 (72%) → (86.36 × 0.10) + (81.82 × 0.40) + (72 × 0.50) = 8.64 + 32.73 + 36.00 = 77.36% aggregate (773.64/1000). For CS & Data Science, the same Matric and FSc give 34.55 + 49.09 = 83.64% (836.36/1000). These numbers are only an illustration.
The ETEA Test Carries Half Your Merit
Because the test is worth 50% of engineering merit, every extra 10% on your ETEA percentage adds 5 points to your aggregate. That is more than any other single part of the formula.
Who Can Apply for BSc Engineering
You need at least 60% (unadjusted marks) in FSc, DAE or A-Level, pre-engineering or equivalent, and you must have appeared in the ETEA engineering test. Accepted subject combinations are Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry; Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science; Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Additional Mathematics; and Physics, Chemistry, Biology. Under the updated PEC regulation, students with Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science can apply to all engineering programs.
Equivalence and Bonus Marks
If your Matric or FSc result comes from an equivalence certificate, enter the equivalent marks and total from it. This calculator applies the standard formula only and does not add special bonus marks, such as those for Hafiz-e-Quran candidates, so check the current prospectus for those rules.
How UET Peshawar Merit Lists Work
Once your aggregate is calculated with the UET Peshawar formula, it is compared with every other applicant for your chosen program to build the merit list. Your aggregate decides your rank, and your rank decides which list you appear in. Here is how the process plays out after ETEA results.
ETEA Scores First, UET Merit Second
ETEA conducts the test and publishes scores. It does not prepare merit lists. UET Peshawar takes your score, applies its own formula to your Matric, FSc and test marks, and ranks applicants.
Merit Lists Come in Rounds
Students watch for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd UET Peshawar merit lists, and later lists if seats remain. Each round gives candidates who missed earlier lists another chance as seats open up.
Separate Lists for Seat Categories
UET Peshawar runs separate lists for categories such as open merit, reciprocal seats and FATA seats, and self-finance (non-subsidized) lists where offered. Your seat category decides which list you compete in.
No Fixed Closing Aggregate
Closing merit changes every year and differs by program and campus. It depends on how many students applied, how strong their ETEA scores were and how many seats are available. A good aggregate for one discipline may fall short for another.
Where to Check Your Merit List Position
UET Peshawar publishes merit lists through its official admission site (enggentrancetest.pk) and the UET Peshawar admission portal. Check there for the latest dates, since they change every cycle.
Note: We do not publish closing aggregates or last year's merit figures because we could not verify official numbers. Any closing-merit percentage you find online is a third-party estimate, not an official figure. Use your calculated aggregate as a general guide and confirm your actual position on the official UET Peshawar lists.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the UET Peshawar aggregate formula?
For BSc Engineering, the merit formula is 10% Matric, 40% FSc and 50% ETEA entry test (SSC × 1, Inter × 4, Test × 5). For Computer Science and Data Science, it is 40% Matric and 60% FSc, with no entry test.
How do I calculate my UET Peshawar merit?
Convert each result into a percentage, multiply it by its weight and add the parts. The calculator above does this for you and shows the aggregate as a percentage and as a score out of 1000.
Is the ETEA test compulsory for UET Peshawar?
Yes, for engineering programs. UET Peshawar's admission rules say the ETEA engineering test is mandatory. Computer Science and Data Science merit does not use an entry test.
Is this the same as the UET aggregate calculator for ECAT?
No. UET Lahore and UET Taxila use ECAT with a 17% Matric, 50% FSc and 33% test formula. UET Peshawar uses ETEA with its own weights, so use this page for UET Peshawar and our UET (ECAT) calculator for the Punjab UETs.
Can I use this calculator for UET Mardan?
We built it for UET Peshawar's formula. UET Mardan is a separate university with its own admission process, so check its prospectus before relying on this result.
What marks do I need to apply to UET Peshawar?
You need at least 60% in FSc, DAE or A-Level (pre-engineering or equivalent) and you must appear in the ETEA test for engineering. Students with Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science can apply to all engineering programs under the updated PEC regulation.
How do I apply for UET Peshawar admission online?
Register for and take the ETEA test through ETEA's official portal, then submit your online application through UET Peshawar's admission portal. Students waiting for FSc Part II results may be able to apply provisionally, so read the current notice for the exact rule and deadline.
Where can I check the UET Peshawar merit list?
UET Peshawar publishes merit lists in rounds (1st, 2nd, 3rd and later). Check the official admission site (enggentrancetest.pk) or the UET Peshawar website, because dates change every year.
What was the closing aggregate of UET Peshawar last year?
We do not publish closing aggregates because we could not verify official figures. Closing merit also differs by program, campus and seat category. Compare your aggregate with the previous lists on the official site.
Where do I check my ETEA engineering test result?
ETEA publishes the score on its official website. The test is computer-based, so you also see your result when you finish. Keep that score and its total marks ready for the calculator.
Does this page cover UET Peshawar fees, GPA or the CMS portal?
No. This page only calculates your admission aggregate. For fee structure, semester GPA or CGPA and the student portal, use UET Peshawar's official website.
Is this the same as the University of Peshawar aggregate calculator?
No. The University of Peshawar is a different university with its own admission rules. This calculator uses the UET Peshawar engineering formula only.
