How the GIKI Aggregate Is Calculated (2026)
The GIKI aggregate calculator uses a simpler formula than most engineering universities in Pakistan — just two components: your Admission Test score at 85%, and your HSSC/SSC (Intermediate/Matric) equivalent at 15%. GIKI weighs test performance far more heavily than academic record, which is why serious admission test preparation matters more here than for most other calculators.
The Formula
Aggregate = (Admission Test % × 0.85) + (HSSC/SSC Equivalent % × 0.15)
Worked Example
Admission Test 150/200 (75%), HSSC/SSC Equivalent 88% → (75 × 0.85) + (88 × 0.15) = 63.75 + 13.2 = 76.95% aggregate
Applying from Outside Pakistan
Overseas applicants can submit a SAT-II score (Mathematics Level IIC and Physics) instead of sitting GIKI's own Admission Test. In that case, merit is determined by percentile score rather than this 85/15 formula.
A-Level & Other Equivalence
If your qualification isn't Matric/FSc, use your IBCC equivalence percentage in place of the HSSC/SSC figure — the same 15% weighting applies either way.
How the GIKI Merit List Works
Once your GIKI aggregate is calculated using the 85/15 formula, it's compared against every other applicant to build the GIKI merit list. Here's what happens after the admission test.
Result & Merit List Announcement
GIKI communicates admission test results to candidates online through the official admissions portal. Your entry test score and overall aggregate are both shown once results are compiled.
Where to Check Your Status
Log in to the GIKI admissions portal at admissions.giki.edu.pk with your registered email and password to view your entry test score, merit score, and admission status.
No Fixed Closing Aggregate
GIKI doesn't publish an official closing-merit percentage table. Because 85% of your aggregate comes from the admission test, closing merit shifts from year to year depending on how difficult that year's test was and how many seats are available per program.
Note: Any specific "GIKI closing merit" percentage you find online is a third-party estimate from a previous cycle, not an official published figure. Use your GIKI aggregate calculator result as a general guide, and confirm your actual status through the official admissions portal.
How to Use the GIKI Aggregate Calculator
No sign-up, no manual formulas. Enter your Admission Test and HSSC/SSC marks below and this GIKI aggregate calculator returns your exact 2026 aggregate percentage in seconds, using GIKI's official 85/15 weightage.
Enter Your Admission Test Score
Out of 200Type your GIKI Admission Test score out of 200 marks — this is by far the biggest factor in your aggregate, at 85%.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the GIKI aggregate calculated?+
By combining your Admission Test score (85%) with your HSSC/SSC equivalent (15%). The test carries far more weight than your academic record at GIKI.
What is the GIKI Admission Test pattern?+
80 MCQs, 200 total marks, 120 minutes, computer-based: Mathematics (30 MCQs, 90 marks), Physics (30 MCQs, 90 marks), and English (20 MCQs, 20 marks). Correct answers in Math and Physics earn +3 marks, with −1 for wrong answers; English has no negative marking.
What is the GIKI entry test fee?+
Rs. 3,000 for a single test, or Rs. 4,500 if you're applying for both the Engineering/Computing test and the Management Sciences GCAT.
How do I check my GIKI merit list or result?+
Log in to admissions.giki.edu.pk with your registered email and password to view your entry test score, merit score, and admission status once results are announced.
Can I apply to GIKI using SAT scores instead of the admission test?+
Yes, but only for overseas applicants. You can submit a SAT-II score (Mathematics Level IIC and Physics) instead of sitting GIKI's own Admission Test, and your merit is then determined by percentile score rather than the 85/15 formula.
How much aggregate is required to get into GIKI?+
There's no single fixed number — GIKI doesn't publish an official closing-merit table, and required aggregate shifts each year based on how difficult that year's test was and program seat availability. Use your calculated aggregate as a guide and confirm your status through the official admissions portal.
Does GIKI use Matric marks or only HSSC?+
The 15% academic component is based on your HSSC/SSC equivalent — enter whichever qualification (or IBCC equivalence percentage for A-Level and other backgrounds) your GIKI application uses.
